Welcome to Maine!

This website is an archive of poems, pictures and stories about Maine.  It was created by the Searsport District Middle School, 8^th grade class of 2008 / 2009.  On the side bar we have three links:  Poems & Stories, Photogallery, and Feedback.

Poems & Stories

This is where most of the work went into the website.  Every 8^th grade student submitted     1 - 2 poems, and 1 - 2 stories.  This amounts to lots of  experiences about Maine.  There are two subcategories;  Poems, and Stories.  (^_^)

    Poems

    Poems about Maine.  Students either wrote sonnets, ballads, or a 14⁺ line free verse.

    Stories

    Each story is about a different experience in Maine.  We tried to do things that you don't usually experience outside of Maine, or things people think of when they think of Maine.

Photogallery

A gallery of photos!  (^_^)  They all relate to a story or poem.  Each story and poem has a little code number under it, and so does each photo.  Each photo has a 1 or 2 sentence caption with it as well, if you don't want to read the stories and just want to look at the pictures.

Feedback
